Theatre and Drama ( A Class Act)

The Theatre Arts Strand is proud to present the school drama troupe: Class Act. Class Act presents one show each year. Performances include song, dance, improv, quotes, Machines, Pictures to Life, Mirror Image and “Yes/No”. Through the Theatre Arts strand, students develop their language, self-confidence and relationships with others. When not getting ready to put on a show, Room 17 students work on skills such as:

  • Study and discuss the Unique curriculum in the mornings.
  • Use the Oxford Picture Dictionary to work on IEP goals.
  • Work independently with educational apps on the iPads.
  • Help make and paint props used in the performances.

Theatre Arts students are also responsible for helping set up for karaoke and school dances on Fridays.

Take a minute to check out how we make sure every show is a Class Act.
