Welcome to the Leichman CTC Work Strand Page!

The work strands at Leichman CTC provide hands-on instruction in a variety of vocational settings.  Students have the opportunity to gain valuable independent living, job, and social skills instruction in the strands.  Many of our work strands also provide an off-campus component for age-appropriate community integration.  For example, the Auto Detail program utilizes a mobile detail unit to provide services in the community.  The retail and cooking programs provide opportunities for students to travel in the community and pickup a variety of supplies.  Many of the other strands provide these same community experiences.

In addition, several of our strands are all about the community.  Our students have the opportunity to intern at a variety of real businesses such as:

  • Macy's
  • Homegoods
  • Marshall's
  • Walgreens
  • Pep Boys
  • and many many other local businesses!

Lastly, Leichman CTC provides the ultimate independent and work experience programs through CATS - Pierce College and Project SEARCH at Kaiser Permanente Woodland Hills. The programs often lead to direct hires at local businesses.
