Mission Statement


The Mission of the staff and parents at Leichman CTC is to prepare students from diverse socio-economic, ethnic and cultural backrounds for adult life by developing the appropriate skills necessary so that they will be as independent and productive member of the community in which they live. We will provide the necessary vocational and functional skills training to maximize their independence at school, home and in the workplace. Through the collaboration between parents, staff and all available community resources, we will provide for a safe nurturing environment to ensure successful educational programs.


Our students at Leichman CTC will continue to grow in a creative learning environment where they will have the opportunity to reach their highest mental, physical, and social abilities. The stakeholders are committed to supplying the least restrictive environment, focusing on student needs, transitional independence, life skills, individual goals, and cultural awareness.

•  We believe students should have skills to participate in the community to the maximum extent possible.

•  We believe all curricular activities should teach functional skills to students that relate to their post-graduate life.

•  We believe collaboration between students, parents and staff is essential.

•  We believe students, parents and staff should be treated with dignity and respect, and in a fair and equitable manner.
